Employee Assistance Program (Lyra Health)

To help support your emotional wellbeing, Cummins has partnered with Lyra Health to provide our Employee Assistance Program (EAP). You and your eligible family members up to age 26 can access 16 free therapy and coaching sessions per year, whether or not you’re enrolled in a Cummins medical plan.

What types of issues can Lyra help with?

  • Lyra can help with stress, anxiety, depression, communication issues, sleep disorders, family or couple issues and other common issues that can be addressed through short-term care services such as therapy, coaching or self-guided apps.
  • You can receive expert advice to help you stay on top of your busy life, including legal, financial, identity theft and dependent/elder care referral services.

What formats for care are available?

No matter why you contact Lyra Health, you have options for receiving care in a way that best meets your needs and fits into your schedule. Once you contact Lyra Health, you can choose from the following formats:

  • In-person or video therapy: Meet with a therapist for diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions like depression, PTSD and more.
  • Mental health coaching: Get to the root of your challenges with effective care from a mental health coach via video or live messaging.
  • Guided self-care with a coach: Get a care plan crafted by your Lyra Health coach and learn new mental health strategies at your own pace.
  • Mental wellness tools: Lyra Health’s digital self-guided apps will teach new skills based on validated behavioral health approaches, provide opportunities for practice and keep you motivated any time, any place.

How does Lyra work?

  • It usually takes less than five minutes to complete the online assessment. Based off your assessment, Lyra will provide suggestions for different care options, such as therapy, coaching and self-guided programs that fit your needs and preferences.
  • You can also call the care team at 1-844-901-3498 to start the conversation immediately.

Not sure what is right for you?

What if I miss an appointment or need to cancel last-minute?

When you start care, it’s important to talk to your provider about their cancellation policy. Most providers require 24-48 hours notice for cancellations. Please refer to your provider for questions about their cancellation policy and payments. Cummins will cover the cost of up to 1 last-minute cancellation or no-show. Beyond this, if you do not cancel on time or miss an appointment without cancelling, for any reason, you will be required to reimburse your provider for the missed session. Any missed or late sessions will not count against the 16 sessions you get per calendar year.

It’s OK Mental Health and Wellness

Feeling balanced, ready to meet life’s challenges and being connected to others are all signs of mental wellness. That means you can think, feel and act in ways that create a positive impact – in your life and other’s lives.

Mental wellness doesn’t mean that life is perfect. It just means that, overall, you’re content. When stresses do arise, you’re able to cope, adapt and move forward.
